testimonials
11/6/2010 – ”Ryan Knapp, new media coordinator with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, spoke at our annual Careers in Sport Symposium in the fall of 2010. Generous with his time, he offered to present a pre-symposium workshop to my graduate students and then participated in a panel the next day. Open and available, Ryan connected immediately with both our graduate and undergraduate sport management and media majors. Motivating, high energy, and passionate, Ryan got students thinking, asking questions, and in the days following his visit, acting on some of the insights he offered in his presentations.
Ryan’s presentation centered around the provocative question of whether the student’s investment in their educations would pay off. Using the Lessig Method of powerpoint presentation, which relies on visuals and carefully crafted short messages, he conveyed a powerful affirmative message to that question but coupled it with the refrain, “Yes-if you go one step further”. As a presenter, Ryan went several steps further to make a very positive impact on our students.

05/08/11 – Hi Ryan I was at the career in sport symposium at Ithaca College and I just wanted to say thanks for coming and speaking. I know this is way late but it was not until recently when I decided to be an au pair in France that I thought about contacting you. You really did inspire me and I am excited to go to France and learn and grow for 7 months! So I just wanted to say thanks because it was listening to you speak partially that inspired me to go and follow through with the job.
