about
soccer + digital
By day, I am the Digital Manager for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, the largest soccer coaches’ organization in the world with over 30,000 members worldwide. I am also founder and Chief Running Officer of Miles to Go Endurance Co. and blog about the endurance lifestyle at The Endurance Life.
I graduated from SUNY Buffalo in 2005 with a B.A. in Spanish and an honors distinction in Linguistics. My focus was on Catalan Language Planning and Policy, which helped open my eyes to see culture in a new light. During my senior year, I experienced life in a true soccer culture during a fall study abroad program at Universidad de Sevilla in Sevilla, Spain.
In 2006, I moved back to Spain and lived and worked in a small pueblo called Villacañas, located in the province of Castilla-La Mancha, the home of Don Quixote. Affectionately known as ‘El Guiri’, which roughly translates to ‘the foreign guy’, I worked as an English professor at We Speak English.
I also founded 2011in2011.org, a charity fundraiser for Comfort Zone Camp where I raised more than $2,011 dollars in 2011.
I am also a noted speaker and has presented at the NSCAA Convention (2o11 and 2012), the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Convention, PRSSA Day and was an invited guest to York College’s Professional Day. I’ve also given guest lectures, both virtual and live, on social media and sports management at Missouri State College, Ithaca College and Niagara University.
When I am not immersed in the digital world, I’m out running on local roads or trails training for marathons and ultramarathons, in the kitchen cookingmy famous paella, taking pictures and posting on instagram , reading on my Kindle or playing with my dog Ella, a three-year-old Sheltie.

running + endurance sports
By morning (usually before 6 a.m.) I’m a runner, taking on all distances including half, full and ultra-marathons (coming in 2012). I am a proud member of Kansas City Track Club. Through each mile, I raise money and awareness for Comfort Zone Camp. CZC is thenation’s largest bereavement camp which transforms the lives of children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver. I am extremely passionate about the CZC mission, having lost my dad, Donald Knapp, to cancer and kidney failure when I was 14.
